I am Wayne Boggs, the Cyber Security instructor at Hillsdale Area Career Center. I began teaching at HACC when the Cybersecurity program launched in 2017.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Ferris State in business education and computer science and have been teaching an array of Informational Technology classes for over 23 years; the most recent years in the areas of cyber security and computer networking.
I hold Cisco CCNA certifications and am a certified instructor in Intro to Networks, Routing & Switching, Cyber Ops and IT Essentials. Additionally, I am certified in multiple courses in Test Out, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Technology Associate, and CompTIA.
I am passionate about helping students realize their potential and build the foundation that will take their future in a successful direction. It is rewarding to watch students leave the HACC Cybersecurity program the with confidence that they have the skills required to manage, optimize, and protect even the most advanced networks. Businesses recognize the standard and rigor these students have met and trust that these students are equipped to meet or exceed market demands.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing games with my family, house projects with my wife and cheering on my 3 children in their various sporting events.
