Heather Robidoux

Heather Robidoux, Career Coach

My name is Heather Robidoux and I serve as the Hillsdale County Career Coach with the Hillsdale Intermediate School District. My office is located at the Hillsdale Area Career Center. I have worked in the field of education for 10+ years in a variety of capacities. I taught first grade for a handful of years before transitioning into adult education and workforce development. I bring a unique perspectvie the HACC as I have worked in both the traditional K12 education setting but also have expereince working in the more employer driven and career focused world of workforce development. I am a graduate of Addison High School and I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and a Master's Degree in Educational Studies, both form the University of Michigan.

In my role as the Career Coach, I work with students, educators, and community stakeholders to help students in our county gain a better sense of who they are and how their unique skills, interests, and qualifications connect to different career opportunties. I also work with employers to help local business and industry develop a talent pipeline of skilled workers. The best part of my job is helping students to see the real purpose of their education and reach their potential as productive, employed citizens in our community.

I live in Addison with my husband, Shayne, on his family farm. We have two small children named Laney and Colton who attend Addison Community Schools.
